OnSite Health lists some of the leading private employers in South Carolina as clients (we also work with the City of Spartanburg). Unlike many workplace healthcare providers, we specialize in highly individualized clinical programs, instead of offering "one size fits all" solutions.
We can work with large companies and professional services groups, industrial operations and distribution facilities with 1000 employees in a single location (our clinical solutions scale simply and cost-effectively). However, we’re also cost-effective for smaller companies with 200-400 employees working in multiple locations. While different types of companies have different healthcare concerns (professional services firms worry less about workers’ comp injuries than manufacturing plants, for example), we typically focus on improving the key values of employee health:
- Lower triglycerides
- Lower LDL cholesterol
(low-density lipoproteins)- Higher HDL cholesterol
(high-density lipoproteins)- Systolic blood pressure
- A1c levels
- Glucose levels
- Tobacco use
- Obesity
Success based on improved clinical outcomes — not employee throughput
Regardless of the size of our clients and the number of locations they have, we measure our clinical programs’ success objectively, by evaluating the improvement in key values across the workforce population — not by the number of employees we see each day.
We produce annual reports for every OnSite Health client, with separate sections for blood pressure, blood lipid levels, diabetes, obesity and smoking. These sections have detailed tables for each employee’s initial values, highest values, lowest values and most recent values. Our clients can see what they’ve purchased for our annual fees, plus documented savings.

Cost Per Employee Per Year
The graph above shows a steady five-year decline in healthcare costs for an OnSite Health client
Our clients cut their healthcare costs in various ways (all calculations based on a workforce of 400 employees):
- Better management of chronic heart disease — 30% reduction in medical costs
- Increased generic drug use — 10% reduction in pharmaceutical costs for savings of $31,472 annually
- 10% increase in productivity — annual savings of $67,400
- 10% improvement in diabetic care — annual savings of $53,503
- Prevention of heart disease in 30% of employees — $10.4 million annual savings
- 50% reduction in strokes — $830,336 in annual savings
OnSite Health also saves on indirect costs. Our clients record an average 28% reduction in sick leave days and an average 30% reduction in workers’ comp and disability management claims costs. These savings — both direct and indirect — come with an annual contract with OnSite Health, with no hidden charges for diagnostics or lab tests.
No matter what industry our clients are in, they find that we can help their employees manage chronic health conditions and maintain better overall health — while reducing the amount of time spent away from the job visiting off-site healthcare providers. Our primary care clinics are an attractive benefit and key differentiator for employers, supporting both recruitment and retention.
